Spanish Versions of Household Applications for Free and Reduced-Price Meals Now Available

TDA has posted Spanish versions of the School Nutrition Program household applications, household letters, and media release prototypes so that districts can immediately begin reaching out to their Spanish-speaking families.

These versions include the updated Nondiscrimination Statement (NDS) that was made available today.

USDA updated the NDS that is required on all public-facing program materials and now TDA has released new English and Spanish versions of the School Nutrition Program household applications, household letters, and media release prototypes with the new NDS included and those are available on SquareMeals.org.

Any letters, applications, or releases schools distribute must contain the updated NDS.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
