Published Rate of Assistance

School Year 2022

  1. SY 2021 Commodity Meal Rate – The published rate for the period July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, is $0.26 per meal for NSLP schools.
  2. Additionally, with USDA's 12% provision dollars and the 20M breakfast dollars or NSLP make the effective SY21 NSLP rate $0.3975.
  3. Texas Rate is currently estimated at $0.5138 per meal.

School Year 2021

  1. SY 2021 Commodity Meal Rate – The published rate for the period July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021, is $0.2450 per meal for NSLP schools.
  2. USDA added an additional $0.125 to the SY 2021 Commodity Meal Rate to include the shortfall in USDA purchases for SY 2020 for a national rate of $0.3700 per meal.
  3. Texas’ rate is currently estimated at $0.3619 per meal.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
