USDA Foods: Ordering Updates

Published: 4 days ago

TEFAP:  PY 2024
    TEFAP Entitlement – Catalog closed 07/26/24 for new requests into WBSCM beef and pork items for delivery periods November-December 2024, which concludes PY 24 delivery options. Check updated values in the WBSCM, Entitlement/Bonus Summary Report to monitor values. Run an updated Requisition Status Report to keep track of status updates for anticipated deliveries.

    CCC_TE and TEFAP (Bonus) items recently offered during the month of July. Guidance is to run a Requisition Status Report with extended delivery date parameters 01-01-24 through 12-31-25 to validate all anticipated deliveries to prepare for the large influx of perishable and non-perishable items through the end of this program year. Some of these items did extend into PY 25.

TEFAP:  PY 2025
    TEFAP Entitlement – Preparation has begun. USDA expects to have the Foods Available List and Delivery Dates updated in August. For all current requested items 2025 for seasonal one-time buy fruits and vegetables, run a Requisition Status Report with parameters 01-01-25 through 12-31-25 to validate on-going status for all requested truckloads.

CSFP:
    Multi-Food shipments Guidance per USDA – Food Banks must be ready to receive these shipments from Paris Brothers on the dedicated delivery date associated with each order number.  Orders can be located under Reports > Multi-Food Requisition Report. Some food banks will receive a delivery of dark kidney beans on or around August 30, 2024, to assist with national inventories. Notifications have been sent.
    As mentioned during the Food Bank call, 07-18-24, there will be an influx of salmon for the protein component Sept. through December deliveries. Consider building a strategy to offer a variety of meats while adhering to the large can/small can distribution guidelines. Salmon fulfills the smaller pack size.
