Program Year 2026–2027
Round 2 catalog is closed.
For some warehouses, the following materials have experienced shortfalls per USDA and have been shifted to later delivery dates:
- 100125 Turkey Roasts – 07/15 to 08/15
- 100362 Refried Beans – 07/15 to 10/15
- 100206 Apple Slices – 07/15–08/15 to 10/15; 09/15 to 12/15
- 100243 Blueberry, Wild – 07/15 and 09/15 to 10/15
- 110723 Dried Cranberries – 07/15 to 10/15
Remember that all requests for USDA Foods can be tracked in the WBSCM Requisition Status Report, and ongoing pricing fluctuations may occur during the program year until the requisition updates to a “Purchased” status. At the end of June, it is recommended to generate an updated PY27 NSLP WBSCM Requisition Status Report for the period 07/01/2026 through 06/30/2027 to review all requested cases or pounds.
TDA will communicate all final allocations to processors in July. Some pounds not fulfilled with new incoming truckloads may be loaded into the tracking systems as free-state account pounds to offset carryover.
If you opted into the DoD Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program, TDA will load these funds into FFAVORS in late June. Increasing the allotted amount is not an option at this time. All requests to opt in to DoD have been finalized and will not be adjusted.
Segovia is the new vendor for the DoD Fresh Program servicing the El Paso area, beginning May 31, 2026. The contract extends for the upcoming five consecutive years.
Refer to the Resources and Forms page on www.squaremeals.org under Food Distribution Program for NSLP for helpful information regarding ordering USDA Foods, such as the:
- WBSCM Cancellation Reason Guide
Program Year 2025–2026
- For DoD Fresh Program participants: All unspent funds must be depleted no later than the third week of June 2026. Please monitor your account.
- Reminder: All orders, per delivery site, must equal a minimum value of $150.
- Reminder: Receipt fresh produce deliveries within 2 business days of delivery. If there is a discrepancy, ensure the delivery bill of lading is noted at the time of delivery and select the correct indicator in the FFAVORS receiving drop-down reasons. Contact your DLA representative for resolution.
For questions regarding USDA Foods, please contact your respective Education Service Center Child Nutrition representative(s) for guidance, training, and technical assistance.
