" TDA has re-released the H1530 Daily Meal Production Form for Child Care Centers that removes fields requiring sites to document the amount of milk served per milk type at each service. Additionally, the instructions were updated to emphasize that sites must maintain supporting documentation, such as receipts and invoices, to demonstrate the types and quantities of milk purchased, including fat content when applicable.
[David D] "
On June 8, TDA updated the Child Care Center Meal Production Record (H1530) to reflect the expanded milk choice options for children ages 2 and up as described in Final Rule - Expanding Fluid Milk Options in Child Nutrition Programs. The form included fields that allowed sites to specifically list the amount of milk prepared by type, enabling sponsors to better assess the milk actually purchased and prepared for each meal.
After receiving sponsor feedback, it was determined that the additional fields for identifying quantity by type would be more burdensome on sites at the point of service and that sponsors can still determine if sufficient and appropriate milk was purchased and served through analysis of the total quantity served and documented milk purchase receipts. TDA has released an updated version of the form that removes those fields and updates the instructions to emphasize that sites must maintain supporting documentation, such as receipts and invoices, to demonstrate the types and quantities of milk purchased, including fat content when applicable.
Sites that may already be using the form published on June 8 may continue to do so if they wish, as documenting the amounts served by type is a best practice.
Note that the instructions to the Daily Meal Production Record for Adult Day Care Centers (H1654) were also updated to match the language in the H1530 form. No changes to the form itself were made.
The updated H1530 and H1654 forms are located on the CACFP Administration/Forms page of SquareMeals.
