Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Age/Grade Exemption

" The SSO Age/Grade Exemption waiver application opens on May 1.

The SSO age/grade meal pattern portion sizes exemption is now available in TX-UNPS. The form can be accessed by:

Logging onto TX-UNPS > School Nutrition Programs > Applications > Download Forms > SNP-000 > Seamless Summer Option Age/Grade Group Meal Pattern Portion Size form. 

CEs participating in SSO that are operating open and restricted open sites and have difficulty implementing the age/grade group requirements may apply for an exemption. If approved, the exemption waiver will allow the CE to serve the portion size consistent with the most commonly served age/grade group at that site. CEs that wish to apply for an exemption must use the Seamless Summer Option Age/Grade Group Meal Pattern Portion Size form through TX-UNPS Download Forms (SNP-000).

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at:, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
