Summer Feeding Administration & Forms
Census data may be used to determine area eligibility for day care home providers. Eligibility is established when census data indicates that at least 50 percent of the children residing in the area are members of households that meet the income standards for free or reduced-price meals. Visit our page on Census Data to learn how to establish area eligibility using census data.
Beginning in 2012, contracting entities (CEs) wishing to participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) or the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) must submit applications and file claims through the Texas Unified Nutrition Programs System: TX-UNPS. CEs requesting a paper version of the application or claim form must contact the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) at (877) TEX-MEAL.
