September 22, 2021 - Dallas DoD Vendor, Brother’s Produce - Dallas, is experiencing severe driver shortages resulting from COVID-19.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has been working with the vendor on a plan to recover with late deliveries and return to normal operations moving forward. DoD and TDA have agreed to allow the vendor to suspend services to specific areas in their service zone (Panhandle, DFW, East Texas) for a maximum of 3 weeks. During this time, the vendor is working to hire additional drivers and subcontractors to provide expected services in their contracted service zone. This will impact approximately 111 CEs, of which 24 are currently ordering DoD Fresh in FFAVORS.

TDA is calling the 111 CEs to provide the following guidance:
  • Do not place anymore DoD Fresh orders in FFAVORS until October 18, 2021 or after; and
  • DoD will work with the vendor to ensure any orders already placed in FFAVORs for the delivery week 9/27/21, are delivered. CEs should expect delays.
