SY 2023-2024
  • For all participating DoD Fresh Program School Districts, Private Schools, Charter Schools, and Residential Child Care Institutions: Entitlement dollars and Campus data are now loaded in FFAVORS. Ordering for the new school year can begin as early as July 1, 2023. Balances will be monitored monthly, to ensure participants spend at least half of the initial distribution no later than mid-year, December 31, 2023.
  • Non-Pilot Group – The TX-UNPS Farm to School survey will close, July 31, 2023. It’s not too late to participate to receive seasonal items: Watermelons, Pears, Apples, Oranges, and Grapefruits. Available delivery periods coincide with the servicing TDA Contracted Warehouse, for Regular, Direct Delivery (formerly called Brown Box cases).
  • Ensure that the SY 23-24 TX-UNPS Contract Packet “Contact Information” is up to date: Food Service Director, Ordering Contact, Billing Contact. The modify link is located to the left of each field to make easy updates.

SY 2022-2023
  • Balances in the TX-UNPS, Weekly Commodity Bulletin will be reconciled between the weeks of July 16-July 31, 2023, to update final amounts spent. Reconciliation includes per pound weighted average adjustments for Further Processing participants, per case weighted average adjustments for Farm to School participants, and final amounts spent for the DoD Fresh Program. Unspent entitlement does not transfer and move forward into the new school year. Recommendation for Contracting Entities to print or save a copy, on July 31, to submit to Business Department and for records retention.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
