December 1, 2021 - TDA released a new Food Service Management Company (FSMC) Monitoring Form that includes updated guidance and monitoring questions.

A CE that contracts with an FSMC is responsible for ensuring the FSMC operates the program according to the contract and in compliance with all regulations and guidance. The form is intended to be used quarterly for at least one site to assist the CE in onsite monitoring of the FSMC’s operation of the program. It should be completed by the district employee responsible for oversight of the FMSC contract or district-employed designee.

The form contains the most current guidance for monitoring of FSMCs. The Administrator’s Reference Manual (ARM) will be updated to align with this guidance in the next release.

Please note that FSMC monitoring is separate from onsite monitoring requirements. All CEs, with or without an FSMC, must complete onsite monitoring reviews as outlined in
ARM, Section 20, Counting & Claiming.
