New CEs for NSLP or SBP are required to successfully complete the certification of compliance with meal pattern process as part of applying to administer NSLP or SBP. TDA staff will notify the CE about the actions required to complete the certification process.
Existing CEs may use the certification of compliance with the meal pattern forms to assist them in menu planning, but are not required to do so.

After TDA staff have certified the planned menus as meeting the meal pattern, TDA staff will direct the CE in how to submit the Attestation form which is the final step in completing the certification process.
