" November’s important USDA Foods updates for CSFP and TEFAP participants include information on delayed and canceled truckloads, ordering deadlines, and resources.
Click here to see the USDA Foods Ordering Updates for November
[Tracy W]. "
CSFP
TDA ordered 4 additional truckloads of vegetables for the food banks affected by the seasonal cancellations. We will be entering the next round of orders in December for deliveries in 2027 (April-June).
To ensure inventory is drawn down appropriately and to avoid food loss or shortages, it is best practice to review USDA distribution rates and align them with your current inventory and anticipated truckload deliveries.
TEFAP
USDA has reopened the WBSCM catalog. The next ordering deadline will be December 16, 2026, for deliveries in 2027 (April-June).
Program Year 2026-2027
USDA was recently able to offer 2 trucks of 111291 Atlantic Pollock to provide some support for the cancellation of 111325 Shrimp, and a bonus of 100293 Raisins and 111620 Fresh Mandarin Tangerines, which should begin delivery in November 2026.
Remember that all USDA Foods can be tracked in the WBSCM Requisition Status Report, and pricing may fluctuate throughout the program year until the requisition updates to “Purchased” status. It is recommended to regularly generate an updated WBSCM Requisition Status Report for the period 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2027 to review all requisitions.
