New Unanticipated School Closure Notification Form

" October 27, 2021 - TDA has released a new notification form for schools operating SSO during an unanticipated school closure. While no approval is required to operate SSO during an unanticipated school closure, completion of the notification form is required.
"
October 27, 2021 - If a school closes due to an unanticipated event without plans to offer instruction (including remote instruction), the school can serve SSO meals under “unanticipated school closure” (USC) requirements. Additionally, USDA has issued a waiver allowing schools to serve SSO meals at the closed school site during a USC.

CEs operating during a USC must submit the Unanticipated School Closure Notification Form located on SquareMeals.org informing TDA of timeframes and locations of USC operation (Note that while submittal of this form is required when operating during a USC, it is for notification purposes only. Operation of SSO during a USC does not require prior approval from TDA).

Please refer to the School Year 2021-2022 Operations FAQ for additional information regarding unanticipated school closures.
