"
TDA has available pounds in the state accounts for further processing of raw commodities. TDA would like to make these pounds available to CEs that can utilize them at no charge to entitlement.

CEs participating in processing raw commodities may now request these pounds until the respective Texas State Account is depleted. This file will be updated weekly.

Requests should be sent to commodityoperations@texasagriculture.gov with a commodity calculator to justifying usage.

TDA will evaluate requests utilizing the below criteria:
  1. Pounds will be granted on a “first come, first serve” basis;
  2. Requests will be compared to current CE’s Carryover and PY20-21 Allocation totals.
    • Average monthly usage and months on hand from the previous program year will determine reasonableness;
  3. Commodity calculator is attached with e-mail request as supporting documentation (calculators can be obtained from the processors);
  4. CEs Co-op must have current bid with preferred Processor, if not, please contact Co-op Coordinator for any other options.
Please review the preliminary list of available Commodities here.
