National Frozen Foods Corporation (NFFC) is conducting a voluntary recall of a limited selection of IQF Not-Ready-To Eat vegetable products, to include USDA Foods shipments of 100351 Beans Green Frz CTN-30 LB received into Texas contracted warehouses, due to the potential for contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. While there have been no human injuries or illnesses reported to date, NFFC decided to err on the side of utmost caution and issue a voluntary recall in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration, which has been notified of this recall and with which NFFC is closely coordinating.

Affected product has been identified to have been delivered to your State contracted warehouse in late September 2017. The vast majority of this product has since been disseminated to school Contracting Entities (CEs). Cases from the identified loads should be placed on immediate hold, quarantined, reported to TDA and should not be distributed to program recipients.  Please check your inventory for the following code identifiers:

*Codes are ink jet printed on the brown master casing only, there are no markings such as ink stamps or labels on the internal/unit package
