Per current federal and state guidelines, your inventory levels may not exceed a 6 Months-On-Hand level. Once your requested inventory is allocated to your account, ensure you utilize it by placing delivery orders. By ordering your inventory, you are reducing your overall inventory and remaining compliant with federal and state guidelines. If you are unable to utilize your inventory and find another school within your respective region, USDA Foods transfers are available. Please use the H4529 transfer JotForm located in SquareMeals.

How do I view my inventory? Monitor your inventory levels via your Weekly Commodity Bulletin. Pay close attention to your Summary of Commodities in the Warehouse section where it provides detailed inventory information under Free Storage, Short-Term Storage, and Long-Term Storage. TDA encourages to have as minimal to zero inventory in your Short and Long-Term Storage. For Regions 3 and 5, the Gold Star Foods online portal allows you to generate your own USDA Inventory By Lot report where you can review your inventory.

Storage Reminders: Free Storage: The state-contracted warehouse provides CEs with free storage for 45 days after the date of allocation as indicated in TX-UNPS. Short-Term Storage: begins with the 46th day of storage from the date of allocation as indicated in TX-UNPS. Long-Term Storage: begins at six months (or 181 days) from the date of allocation as indicated in TX-UNPS. For products in long-term storage, the state-contracted warehouse may charge double the short-term storage rate.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
